New Boiler Installation in Elswick, Newcastle
Fixed prices from £1,790 including installation and VAT, fitted by Gas Safe engineers who actually know NE4 housing. Terraces, Tyneside flats and West End conversions all have their own quirks, and we price for them properly rather than guessing from a postcode.
Boiler installation that suits Elswick housing
Elswick and the wider West End are dominated by late Victorian and Edwardian terraces, a lot of them split into Tyneside flats, alongside newer social housing from the regeneration schemes. Each of those needs a different approach, and getting it wrong is expensive.
Tyneside flats. The upstairs and downstairs split is the thing national installers underestimate. Flue routing has to respect the property above or below, condensate has to run somewhere sensible, and the boiler position often has to work around a shared stairwell. We have fitted enough of them across the West End to price the job accurately at survey rather than discovering a problem on the day.
Terraced houses. Many still have the original back boiler position or a first generation combi shoehorned into a kitchen cupboard. Moving the boiler to a better position is often worth doing while the system is drained, and it is far cheaper as part of the install than as a separate job later.
Water and pipework. A lot of NE4 property is on original microbore or partially upgraded pipework, and that affects whether a high output combi will actually deliver what it promises. We check flow rate at survey. A boiler that is too powerful for the incoming supply will not give you a better shower, it will just cost more.
How much is a new boiler in Elswick?
Fixed prices start at £1,790 including installation and VAT. Straightforward combi swaps in the area typically land between £2,200 and £2,800. Converting a system or regular boiler to a combi, relocating the boiler, or replacing tired pipework moves it up.
The price we give you is the price you pay. It does not change once the work starts.
Choosing the boiler
We are approved installers for Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Baxi and fit all three regularly. Rather than push a brand, we size the boiler to the property and the water supply. Worth reading first: what size boiler you need, combi versus system boilers, and choosing the right boiler.
Not sure a replacement is even the answer? Our repair or replace guide is honest about when a repair is the better call, and we will tell you the same at survey.
How it works
Spreading the cost
Finance is available through Ideal4Finance, subject to status, so a boiler does not have to come out of savings in one go. The rate offered is provisional and depends on your circumstances, the amount and the term. Example monthly repayments and a representative example are on our boiler finance page.
Everything else we cover in Newcastle
Beyond installation we handle boiler repairs with fixed price diagnosis, annual servicing from £80 plus VAT, landlord gas safety certificates for rented property, which the West End has a lot of, and power flushing where sludge has built up.
Slow radiators, cold spots or a banging boiler in an older terrace are usually a clogged system rather than a failing boiler. See central heating slow to warm up, radiators cold at the bottom and boiler kettling.
