New Boiler Installation Newcastle upon Tyne

One city, very different homes
Drive from Walker to Lemington and you pass almost every kind of house the North East has. Upstairs and downstairs flats. Three storey terraces with loft rooms. Shared student houses. Council built semis. Each one has its own best choice of boiler, and its own awkward spots for a flue.
We are a Gas Safe registered firm based in Houghton le Spring, about 12 miles from the city, fitting boilers since 2010. The approach is the same wherever you live in Newcastle: tell us about the property online, get a fixed price, and let our engineer confirm the details on a free survey before a date is booked.

Choosing a new boiler across Newcastle
Where you are in the city says a lot about the job. Here is how it usually breaks down.
East end: Heaton, Byker and Walker
Long streets of Tyneside flats and terraces. Flats nearly always suit a combi, as there is no space for a cylinder. The tricky part is the flue, which has to keep clear of your own windows and your neighbour's. The condensate from an upstairs flat also needs a sensible route down. We plan both before pricing.
North: Jesmond, Gosforth and Sandyford
Big Victorian terraces with high ceilings, lots of radiators and, often, a loft conversion with a second bathroom. A combi can run short when two showers go on together. For many of these houses a system boiler with an unvented cylinder gives better hot water. Plenty of properties round Jesmond and Sandyford are shared lets or HMOs, where that matters even more.
West end: Fenham, Arthur's Hill and Benwell
Terraces and flats, many of them rented. The work is similar to the east end, with landlords often needing us to arrange access with tenants. Elswick has its own page because we do so much work there.
Outer estates: Kenton and Lemington
Postwar semis and newer houses are usually the simplest installs in the city. The boiler is often in the kitchen already, and a like for like combi swap is normally a one day job. Some still have a cylinder and tanks that can come out if you switch to a combi.
Landlords and HMOs
A large part of the city is rented. When we replace a boiler in a let property we can talk to tenants about access, fit around their day, and carry out the annual gas safety check at the same time. For a house in multiple occupation, we size the hot water side for the number of people actually living there.
Areas of Newcastle we cover
New boiler installation is available across the whole city. These are the areas we are asked about most.
- Jesmond: large Victorian terraces and shared lets, often better suited to a system boiler.
- Gosforth: big family houses and semis, where hot water for two bathrooms drives the choice.
- Heaton and High Heaton: Tyneside flats and terraces, where combi boilers and flue positions are the main call.
- Fenham: terraces and flats, many rented, with landlord access arranged where needed.
- Elswick: covered on its own page for new boilers in Elswick.
- Byker and Walker: Tyneside flats and postwar housing in the east end.
- Benwell and Arthur's Hill: west end terraces and flats.
- Sandyford: terraces and HMOs close to the city centre.
- Kenton, Fawdon and Kingston Park: postwar semis and newer estates, usually a straightforward combi swap.
- Westerhope, Newbiggin Hall and Blakelaw: NE5 estates on the western edge of the city.
- Longbenton and Benton: NE7 housing on the north east edge of the city.
- Lemington, Newburn and Denton: NE15, the western edge of our Newcastle cover.

Price, finance and the installation day
Boilers start from £1,790 fitted. Your fixed price covers the boiler, flue, labour, a system clean, a magnetic filter, removal of the old boiler, certificates and manufacturer warranty registration. Depending on the model, that warranty can be up to 12 years. If paying all at once does not suit, finance is available through Ideal4Finance, subject to status.
We work tidily, which counts in a flat with a shared stair or a terrace with no back door to the street. Dust sheets go down, the old boiler is drained and removed, the system is cleaned, and the new boiler is fitted, tested and commissioned. Before leaving, the engineer runs through the controls with you or your tenant. A simple swap takes a day. A new flue route or a switch from a cylinder system can take two.
