When a health check makes sense
A health check is a visual and functional inspection of your full LPG system without the full strip down of a service. It is the right choice when:
- You have just moved into a property with LPG and have no service records
- You are about to buy a holiday let or rural property and want an independent opinion
- You suspect something is wrong but the boiler is still running
- You are between annual services and want a mid year check
- You have changed LPG supplier and want to verify the regulator setup
It is not a substitute for an annual service, and it is not a CP12 if you are a landlord. But it is a good first inspection that tells you whether you are looking at minor adjustments or a more involved piece of work.
What's included in the service?
A health check is a thorough 30 to 45 minute inspection of your whole LPG system. We carry out a visual inspection of the boiler, trace the full pipework run, and check the regulator and the tank or cylinder connection. We test the safety devices, assess ventilation around the appliance, and finish by giving you a written report setting out the condition of the system and anything worth keeping an eye on. It is the ideal check after moving into an off grid property, or any time you want peace of mind without booking a full service.
